Giving Thanks to Educators Across America
During this special time of year when we celebrate gratitude, there is no better time then now to thank the educators all across America who have a made a difference in our lives.
We often hear successful people talk about that one teacher who inspired them and helped them learn something that has stayed with them since childhood. Teachers have one of the most important jobs in society. It’s our teachers who champion us and often see the possibility of who we can become. Many teachers also go the extra mile to improve the academic success of children by reaching out to parents to ensure that parents know how to participate in the academic process with their children. What a gift that is to our society!
Benjamin Franklin once said, “Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” These are the things that our teachers and educators here in America do everyday. They take that rough clay of a child and help mold it into something new.
We thank the educators across America who give their every waking hour, their hearts, minds, and souls to the children in our schools who want to learn, grow, and make a difference in their own lives and in the world.
We at Lectura Books and The Latino Family Literacy Project thank teachers, administrators, and school staff for their dedication and inspiration!
